The Last Shadow Puppets

The Last Shadow Puppets made their TV debut last night in the UK, appearing - with full string section - on Later With Jools Holland.

And here they are performing acoustic at Avatar Studios in New York earlier this year:

The album The Age Of The Understatement is far from acoustic, it’s lush with strings and orchestration - courtesy of Owen Pallet of Final Fantasy - and was produced by the very wonderful James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. It’s a truly stunning debut. Find it on Domino Records from April 21st.

The Last Shadow Puppets played TWO secret shows in New York this week. The Sound Fix show on Tuesday was superb fun, and they played again on Wednesday night at Cake Shop. Alex Turner and Miles Kane didn’t have a full band, they were performing stripped down versions of their songs with just their guitars, but the result was pretty damn special all the same.
